Description

ORCEF 400mg Tablets contain Cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and gonorrhea. Cefixime works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, leading to the death of the bacteria. It is effective against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Dosage/Directions For adults and children over 10 years, the recommended dosage is 200-400 mg daily, depending on the severity of the infection. This can be taken as a single dose or divided into two doses. For children under 10 years, the dosage is based on body weight and should be determined by a healthcare provider. Side Effects Common side effects include stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, gas, headache, and dizziness.
