Description

Claritek 250mg Tablets contain Clarithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia), skin infections, and ear infections. Clarithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping bacterial growth. Dosage/Direction Adults and children over 12 years: 250 mg twice daily for 7-14 days. For severe infections, the dose may be increased to 500 mg twice daily. Children under 12 years: Dosage is based on body weight and should be prescribed by a doctor. Administration: Take with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole without chewing. Side Effects Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and changes in taste. Serious side effects may include allergic reactions, liver problems, and severe intestinal conditions. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clarithromycin or other macrolides.
