Description
Apalutamide is an androgen receptor inhibitor that blocks the effect of androgens on the tumor. Specifically, apalutamide binds to the ligand-binding domain of the androgen receptor, blocks androgen-receptor nuclear translocation, inhibits DNA binding, and obstructs androgen receptor–mediated transcription. Indication Apalunix (apalutamide) is an androgen receptor inhibitor indicated for the treatment of patients with: Metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC) Non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC) Side Effects of Apalutamide Tablet Hot flashes, tiredness, joint pain, nausea, decreased appetite, weight loss.
