Description

Varinil 5mg Tablets contain amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and prevent angina (chest pain). Amlodipine works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, and reducing the workload on the heart. This medication helps to lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks, and manage symptoms of coronary artery disease. Dosage/Direction The usual starting dose for hypertension or angina is 5mg taken once daily. Depending on the patient’s response and medical condition, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 10mg per day. Always follow your doctor’s instructions and do not exceed the prescribed dose. Side Effects Common side effects include dizziness, swelling of the legs or ankles, fatigue, and flushing.
