Description

Lamictal 100 mg Tablets contain lamotrigine, an anticonvulsant medication used to treat epilepsy and bipolar disorder. It helps prevent seizures by stabilizing electrical activity in the brain and also works to stabilize mood in bipolar disorder. It is effective for partial and generalized seizures, including Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, and for delaying episodes of depression or mania in patients with bipolar disorder. Dosage/Direction: The typical dose for adults with epilepsy or bipolar disorder varies, but for maintenance, 100-200 mg once or twice daily is common. The dose is usually started low and gradually increased to reduce the risk of side effects. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water and can be taken with or without food. Side Effects: Common side effects include dizziness, headache, nausea, and insomnia.
