Description

Gentamycin Eye/Ear Drops is an antibiotic medication containing gentamicin sulfate. It is used to treat bacterial infections in the eyes and ears by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Dosage/Direction: For eye infections, instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4 hours. In severe cases, the dosage may be increased to 2 drops every hour. For ear infections, instill 2-3 drops into the affected ear(s) 3-4 times daily. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions carefully and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination. Side Effects: Common side effects include eye burning, stinging, redness, and temporary blurred vision when used in the eyes. When used in the ears, it may cause mild ear discomfort or itching. Serious side effects may include allergic reactions, increased intraocular pressure, or secondary infections.
