Description

Febo-G 40mg Tablets contain febuxostat, a non-purine, selective xanthine oxidase inhibitor. This medication is used for the long-term management of hyperuricemia in patients with gout. Febuxostat works by reducing the production of uric acid in the body, thereby preventing gout flares and reducing the risk of urate crystal formation in joints and tissues. Dosage/Directions: The typical dosage for adults is one 40mg tablet taken once daily. For patients who do not achieve a serum uric acid level of less than 6mg/dL after 2 weeks with 40mg, the 80mg dose is recommended. Febo-G can be taken with or without food.
